A Watch Snap on Back Cover Examine and clean around the back case cover if the watch has a bracelet you may need to release the spring bar to get to the cover, now find the file were the case back cover go into or over the case insert a case opener into the file then gentle twist and open the case, take note of which way aroundthe battery is and take a note of the battery number if possible. Don't touch the new battery with your fingers use plastic tweezers, there are 3 possibilities of how the battery is held in (1) the battery is held in by a spring at the side this requires a small screwdriver to just edge the battery out (example) (2) ) the battery is held in by a spring just over the top edge of the battery this requires a small screwdriver to push the spring off the battery (3) The watch may have a battery strap over the center of the battery take note of which way around the battery is, you will need to loosen just one screw do not take the screw out it may cause you problems when you come to refit.
